Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Selino Studio is the data controller for personal data processed through Selino. Contact us at support@selino.shop for any privacy question or request.

2. What we collect

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data. Please do not upload photos that reveal sensitive information about you or others.

3. How and why we use it (legal bases)

• To provide the service: create accounts, generate artwork, deliver downloads and manage credits (performance of a contract).
• To process payments and prevent fraud: bill subscriptions and credit packs, keep proof of delivery and consent (contract, legal obligation, legitimate interests).
• To support you: answer questions and handle refunds or cancellations (contract, legitimate interests).
• To keep Selino safe: enforce our Acceptable Use Policy, filter prohibited content, secure systems (legitimate interests, legal obligation).
• To improve the product: aggregated usage analytics, only with your consent where required (consent, legitimate interests).
• To send service emails: receipts, renewal reminders, cancellation confirmations and policy changes (contract, legal obligation). Marketing emails are sent only with your consent and you can unsubscribe at any time.

4. Uploaded photos and AI processing

• Photos are used only to create the artwork you request.
• Uploaded source photos are deleted automatically 30 days after upload. Generated artworks stay in your gallery until you delete them or your account.
• We do not use your photos or artworks to train AI models, and we contractually require our AI providers not to either.
• Automated safety filters check prompts and images for prohibited content. This does not produce legal or similarly significant effects on you; you can contact us to request a human review.

5. Who we share data with

We never sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf under data processing agreements:

• Stripe, Inc. and PayPal: payment processing and fraud prevention. They receive your payment details directly; we never see your full card number.
• AI model providers (currently including Kie.ai and the model providers it routes to): image generation from your photo or prompt.
• Vercel Inc.: website hosting and content delivery.
• Email and support tools: sending receipts and answering messages.

We may also disclose data if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transfer, in which case this policy continues to apply.

6. International transfers

Our providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms.

7. How long we keep data

• Uploaded source photos: 30 days.
• Account data and generated artworks: while your account is active; deleted within 30 days after account deletion.
• Transaction and consent records: as long as required for tax, accounting and legal purposes (typically up to 7 years).
• Support messages: up to 2 years.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy (portability);
• correct inaccurate data;
• delete your data;
• restrict or object to certain processing;
• withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing;
• lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

To exercise any right, email support@selino.shop with the subject "Privacy request". We respond within 30 days and may need to verify your identity.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA)

We collect the categories of personal information listed in section 2 for the purposes in section 3. You have the right to know, delete and correct personal information and to not be discriminated against for exercising your rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we do not knowingly collect personal information of consumers under 16.

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies to run the site and, only with your consent, analytics cookies. Non-essential cookies are not set until you accept them. See our Cookie Policy.

10. Security

We use HTTPS encryption, access controls and reputable infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work hard to protect your data and will notify you and the authorities of a breach where required by law.

11. Children

Selino is not directed at children and accounts are for users aged 18 and over. If you believe a child has provided us with data, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes

We will post any changes here with a new "Last updated" date and notify you by email of material changes.
